Dermatology Care

In Hungary, dermatology specialist consultations may only be performed by full (exam-certified) members of the Hungarian Association of Veterinary Dermatologists.

Specialist care includes taking a detailed medical history, performing physical and additional diagnostic examinations — for the latter, I always provide a cost estimate in advance. Based on the results, I discuss the possible diagnoses and create a personalized treatment plan. I write a detailed medical report for each visit and share it with both the Owner and the referring veterinarian.

• Allergic dermatitis

• Ear infections (otitis)

• Skin infections

• Autoimmune and immune-mediated skin diseases

• Claw and nail bed disorders

• Skin conditions accompanied by dandruff

• Hair loss (alopecia) and related disorders

• Skin changes with endocrine background

• Skin tumors (in collaboration with the oncology team)

Available Diagnostic Tests

• In-house cytological examination

• Trichogram analysis

• Wood's lamp examination

• Skin scraping

• Blood testing

• Cytological examination sent to an external laboratory

• Detection of environmental allergens from blood (for subsequent immunotherapy)

• Skin biopsy and histopathological examination (scheduled separately after the initial consultation)
